The company regularly helps with road cleanup on Coyle Road and part of Big Lick Road and has built a fence at Stanfield Elementary School. In 2019, the company served lunch at the Community Inn, donated a saw to West Stanly High School’s woodworking class, donated a prize for Stanly County’s Exceptional Children program and helped sponsor Stanly Community College’s golf tournament, Toole said. For October, which Stanley Black and Decker designated as a month for community service, Toole said Stanley raised donations for the Butterfly House and donated goods to the Community Inn. “That location has provided jobs for people in the community as long as I can remember...,” Stanfield Mayor Kevin Barbee said. Barbee said Stanley, which he thinks is the biggest company in the town, has always been willing partners with the town, including its work with Stanfield Elementary. It has also “done a lot of good for the community and provided livelihood for a lot of people who live in the community,” he said. Lee Xiong making sure materials are moved down the line efficiently.
