T he story began at Babson College, where Frank Clegg received a set of leatherworking tools from his girlfriend( now wife). A natural artist and maker, he quickly fell in love with the material, channeling his creativity into original designs that reflected both precision and passion. As the fashion landscape shifted in the decades that followed, Clegg adapted, producing private label goods for renowned designers while continuing to craft small runs of his own line. In 2010, a turning point took place: The rise of e-commerce collided with a new chapter in the business as Clegg’ s sons stepped in. Andrew, drawn to the hands-on craft of leatherwork, and Ian, with a passion for branding and operations, helped usher the company into the digital age, introducing Frank Clegg Leatherworks to a global audience.
