The music industry continues to develop in a way that many people consider trash and only made to fill record labels and singers’ pockets with money. But why is that? Music is gradually losing its essence. We need to stick to the roots of today’s genres and never forget the purpose of each one. Developing through the years, music has welcomed a lot of legends who will always be remembered:
Tupac Shakur, aka, 2Pac. Twenty years after his death, the rapper's legacy is still felt. Tupac Shakur endures as one of hip-hop's most iconic figures and its most powerful enigma. It is said that he brought a lot of consciousness and awareness to this genre, inspired nowadays’ rappers and had a genius mind at writing his lyrics, where he defended and stated facts about the thug life. And yes, the famous meme has its origin in this amazing legend here...
Ella Fitzgerald, aka, Queen of Jazz. Not many people know her, but Ella has a breathtaking voice that has elevated her to success. She’s the definition of: “Started from the bottom now we’re here”, I mean, she began life in an orphanage and ended it with a total of 14 Grammys. Now that's succeeding in life! And... do you hear that? It's her singing the soothing "Dream a Little Dream of Me" with Louis Armstrong.
Bob Marley, aka, King of Reggae. He used his fame to spread justice and peace as well as boosting the rastafari to be a trend all over the world. These are just a few things this incredible Jamaican singer did, but what might be Marley’s most amazing moment was when, in the middle of civil war in Jamaica, he played the One Love Peace Concert for the whole country for free, and got the leaders of both factions to embrace on stage.
