Mackinac State Historic Parks offers other informal venues such as Anne ' s Tablet , a monument with an incredible view , dedicated to Constance Fenimore Woolson who ' s famous 19th-century novel " Anne " revealed a glimpse into life on Mackinac Island in the mid-1800s . Also , consider your wedding site at other State Park landmarks such as British Landing ,
Fort Holmes , Fort Mackinac and Marquette Park . All of these venues can include Mission Church as your weather backup location if necessary .
Saturdays are the most requested day for weddings , but if you have some flexibility with your plans , Mackinac State Historic Parks discounts all of its wedding sites to $ 500 if held Sunday through Thursday . This ensures every

On a secluded bluff , is another unique Mackinac Island treasure , the SOMEWHERE IN TIME GAZEBO . It ' s the actual gazebo used in the famous movie Somewhere in Time filmed entirely on Mackinac Island in 1979 and starred Christopher Reeves and a 26-year old Jane Seymour . This famous landmark , the Somewhere in Time Gazebo , is also available for your wedding ceremony by contacting MACKINAC STATE HISTORIC PARKS .
