P lanning and executing a wedding reception requires many challenging decisions that begin with simply deciding where , what , and when .
When choosing where to hold your reception , keep in mind that a small guest list offers a larger selection of Island wedding venues . Groups of 100 or more guests are limited to just a few larger , full-service resort facilities on the Island . As for timing , if your guest list is large and you ’ ve selected a Saturday for your day , you should make ceremony and reception reservations at least nine to twelve months in advance . Having a smaller event offers more availability and planning is much easier . If you and your fiancé plan to elope on the Island , almost all of the hotels , bed & breakfasts , and inns can offer you last-minute helpful service and personalized advice .

Renovations are in progress on the Mansion , the Summer House , the event and outdoor spaces , as well as the addition of new features such as family cottages , a wellness center , and more dining options at the outdoor BBQ pavilion .
