Proceeds from weddings and
vow renewals help support out-
reach programs throughout the
Island community.
M ission C hurch is available for
weddings from early May to early
October. For gatherings of up to
160 people, the $800 fee reserves
two consecutive hours for decorat-
ing, the ceremony itself, photo-
graphs and clean up. A Mackinac
State Historic Parks host will be on
hand to assist with any ceremony
concerns. Wedding rehearsals may
also be arranged at no additional
cost.

To help fill the sanctuary with
sound, an electric keyboard is
available at no charge. You can also
arrange to have other live music
played from the balcony during the
ceremony. After the kiss, the old
church bell may be rung by one of
your guests to mark the occasion.
On a secluded bluff, the original
S omewhere in T ime G azebo is also available
for your wedding ceremony. This
gazebo is the actual structure used
in the famous movie Somewhere in
Time, filmed on Mackinac in 1979
starring Christopher Reeve and
Jane Seymour.
