To help fill the sanctuary with sound, an electric keyboard is avail- able at no charge. You can also arrange an acoustic guitar, flute or bagpipe to be played from the balcony during the ceremony. After the kiss, the old church bell may be rung by one of your guests to mark the occasion. On a secluded wooded bluff, the original S OMEWHERE IN T IME G AZEBO is also available for your wedding ceremo- ny. This gazebo is the actual struc- ture used on Mackinac Island in the famous movie Somewhere in Time, filmed in 1979 starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. The Mackinac State Historic Parks offers other formal venues includ- ing British Landing, Fort Holmes, Fort Mackinac and Marquette Park. All of these outdoor venues include Mission Church as your guaranteed weather back-up location. If you have some flexibility with your wedding plans, Mackinac State Historic Parks offers all of its wed- ding sites Sunday -Thursday for just $500.
