Christian Shimer- Owner- Producer- Editor at Legacy Productions
The mission of Legacy Productions is to tell the stories of non-profit organizations through the media of film in a way that connects constituents emotionally and results in understanding, fellowship, and action.
A live speaker, however compelling, can never draw the audience into your story in the way that video can. Much more information, both direct and implied, can be conveyed with a video production. The inclusion of a soundtrack, visuals which illustrate what is being spoken about, and a variety of voices paint a much broader picture for the audience.
When you listen to a speaker, there is a sense that an idea is being sold to you. With video, you experience the story as you watch. This bypasses many of the defenses we have when we are being spoken to. This“ first-person” experience is what makes video so emotionally powerful and if the audience connects emotionally with your mission, you’ ve got‘ em! Having a speaker introduce, show and follow up the video is the most impactful approach
We have developed a proven formula which appeals first to the emotions and then to the intellect. Our minds open up when our hearts are involved. Our videos take the viewer through this heart-mind resonance at least 3 times during the film, each time re-connecting them emotionally before delivering more vital information about your solution to a real problem.
Our approach is simple; define the need, present the solution, articulate the benefits, call the audience to action. How this is presented is a matter of artistic and intuitive creativity which is where my role as an empathic artist comes into play.
Since this is the only kind of video I produce, I treat every project as both a work of art and a personal mission. I am a dedicated extension of your mission. My sole purpose is to reduce your story to its most compelling, accessible form.
