MCA Update
Congratulations to the arborists who earned their MCA at the April exam. Earning your MCA is no small accomplishment. It takes commitment, plenty of study time, and a solid understanding of arboriculture. Nice work to everyone who passed!
If you ' re planning to take the exam, start preparing now. The candidates who are most successful are the ones who build a study schedule and stick with it. The optional MCA Overview Webinars are also a great resource and can help reinforce the material as you work through the study guide. One important update for future candidates: the exam will now include questions based on the 2025 Tree Risk Assessment Best Management Practices manual. If you haven ' t picked up the new edition yet, be sure to do so. Purchase information is available on the MCA website.
The MCA Committee met in June for its annual exam review. Every year, the committee carefully evaluates the exam, revises existing questions, and updates content to reflect current industry standards and best practices. A big thank you to the committee members and management team for the many hours they dedicate to this process. Their work helps ensure the MCA exam remains fair, current, and meaningful.
The next MCA exam will be held in October, and registration is now open. Seats are limited, so don ' t wait too long to reserve your spot.
