WHERE THE BEST IN THE TREE CARE INDUSTRY COME TOGETHER
46th Annual Arbor Day Celebration
On April 25, 2025, hundreds of MAA members celebrated Arbor Day by donating professional tree care to worthy sites across the state. Since 1979, MAA members have united the industry around giving back while raising awareness about the importance of tree preservation and proper tree care.
MAA’ s Arbor Day of Service Group Celebration Millborn Farm, Sherborn, MA
Our Arbor Day of Service group project site was Millborn Farm, the Trustees’ newest property acquisition on the Sherborn / Millis line. Millborn Farm is a 195-acre gem with pastures, a pond, historic farm buildings and trees – lots and lots of spectacular trees! Passive recreation – hiking, birdwatching, horseback riding – is planned for this stunning site which is slated to open to the public in spring of 2026.
Members worked throughout the morning to prune, remove hazardous and invasive trees, and plant new trees that will live on at Millborn Farm for years to come. A delicious cookout was generously provided by the Trustees, along with the traditional gift bag and plant giveaways for volunteers!
Arbor Day of Service – Statewide!
While work was underway in Sherborn, across the Commonwealth other projects were completed- underscoring the broad impact of our Arbor Day tradition, our partnerships with communities, and commitment to healthy and safe green spaces. Great job, MAA members!( continued on pages 5 and 13)
