Every April , MAA coordinates a statewide volunteer workday involving hundreds of MAA members . The MAA ’ s Arbor Day of Service gives tree care professionals a chance to make a direct impact in their local communities , while highlighting the importance of proper tree care and tree planting . Tree care companies work together on large projects , or independently on smaller projects , at sites like community parks , schools , town commons or conservation land .
MAA ’ s Arbor Day of Service offers an opportunity for companies to show their support for the industry , while maximizing their marketing efforts . With a $ 500 sponsorship investment , industry suppliers demonstrate a strong level of support for the MAA ’ s Arbor Day of Service ! Sponsor funds defray the cost of promotion and logistics for Arbor Day of Service and support MAA ’ s safety programming throughout the year .

If you ’ re interested in helping out on Arbor Day , stop by MassArbor . org to view community projects looking for help . Follow the links for ADOS 2022 . Then contact the organizer directly and start planning your volunteer effort . Community organizations or arborists seeking help with a project should visit the MAA website to post requests for help .

Editor ’ s Note : Last year , the MAA partnered with the Trustees at The Governor Oliver Ames Estate Community Park in Easton , MA for an association-wide Arbor Day of Service celebration . We ’ ll plan a similar , large-scale group event in April 2023 .
