President ’ s Message
Hello MAA Members ,
When setting strategy and making plans for the MAA , your board of directors uses a simple filter for decision-making : “ What is in the best interest of MAA members ?” This is the filter we used when organizers let us know that ArborEXPO was coming to Springfield , MA in 2022 . As a premier partner of ArborEXPO , our goal is to help produce an event that educates , entertains , and inspires — because that is in the best interest of our members !
As an association , the MAA has helped line up leading experts to present best practices , safety training , and research results . We ’ ve created a new Student Career Fair that will draw young people from across the region to see our industry up close and learn what it takes to be a professional arborist . We ’ ve spread the word to organizations and colleagues near and far , inviting them all to attend . And we secured a registration discount exclusively for MAA members ( see page 7 for details ).
ArborEXPO is top shelf when it comes to networking opportunities including an opening reception at the Basketball Hall of Fame , free lunch on the show floor , opportunities to win cash and prizes , and great giveaways . We ’ re planning to have some fun , too !
