Jim Ingram honered by TCIA with Chairs ’ Award
Congratulations to Jim Ingram , mca , President and COO of Bartlett Tree Experts who was recently honored by TCIA with the prestigious Chairs ’ Award .
MAA ’ s Carrie Martin and Virginia Wood presented “ Growing Your Career in the Green Industry ” to more than 30 students in Kristina Bezanson ’ s Arbor & Urban Forestry seminar class at UMass . Heather Leff , executive director of ISA-New England and MTWFA also joined the discussion . The students — all juniors and seniors — were genuinely interested in arboriculture as a career path and asked great questions .

VISTA Award to be presented at April 26 Meeting
The VISTA award is the most important honor the association can bestow upon one of its members . It was conceived to recognize truly outstanding tree care professionals whose acts and deeds serve as a guide and challenge for all members of the industry . The award ’ s title is an acronym for Vision , Integrity , Service , Talent , and Action — the leadership qualities inherent in all award recipients .
This year ’ s VISTA Award will go to safety , skill , and productivity trainer extraordinaire Rip Tompkins , mca , Rip Tompkins Tree Expert / ArborMaster , Inc .
