Arbor Day of Service 2021
The MAA ’ s 2019 Arbor Day of Service group project brought members from near and far to celebrate at Appleton Farm in Ipswich , MA
MAA ’ s Arbor Day of Service sponsorship offers an opportunity for suppliers and tree care companies to show support for the industry while maximizing their marketing efforts .

The property has a significant number of mature specimen trees that reflect the ongoing commitment of the Ames family members to arboriculture . Dramatic examples include Kentucky coffee tree , magnolia , cucumber magnolia , Stewartia , beeches , sweet gum and columnar maple . Other varieties hint at the involvement of Oakes Ames , whose association with the Harvard Botany Department and the Arnold Arboretum made him privy to new species introductions such as varieties of Dawn Redwood , catalpa , and weeping beeches , well before the commercial nurseries of the day .
“ We are looking forward to making a difference at the historic Ames Estate next April ,” said Neal Reilly , MCA . “ The property offers an excellent opportunity for MAA members to get together and demonstrate veteran tree preservation including pruning and plant health care .”
With careful safety protocols in place , the MAA ’ s Arbor Day Celebration plans include a morning of tree work , as well as midday lunch and other festivities to recognize our volunteers . Everyone is invited !
We ’ re here to help
While all members are invited to volunteer at The Ames Estate in Easton , we know that many members traditionally donate their time to projects in their local community . Requests for help from community organizations are listed at the website . Now is the time to reach out and confirm your plans .
However you decide to commemorate Arbor Day 2021 , the MAA will help promote your involvement with communication resources including planning guidelines , signs , stickers , sample news releases , checklists , and more .
With a sponsorship investment , industry members demonstrate a strong level of commitment to the MAA ’ s Arbor Day of Service initiative and its mission to increase awareness for safe and proper tree care .
Supporter funds help defray the cost of promotion and logistics for this industry-wide event and support the MAA ’ s safety programming throughout the year .
Supporters are recognized in all print and electronic event promotion including news releases , email blasts , newsletters , website , and more .
