Sometimes you have to experience a place to fully understand its potential.
That was certainly true on September 16, when MAA members gathered for our first workshop at the Arboriculture Learning Hub at Millborn Farm Reservation. For many participants, it was their first opportunity to explore the property. Everyone agreed that Millborn Farm offers an extraordinary setting for hands-on arboriculture education, training, and professional connection.
The experience inspired several participants to invest in the future of the project. We are particularly grateful to Bartlett Tree Experts for their recent $ 25,000 contribution. This gift, along with contributions from other members following the workshop, provides important momentum as we work toward raising the $ 60,000 still needed to complete the Carriage Barn renovation.
We have made tremendous progress, but there is still work to do.
If you have already contributed, thank you. Your generosity is helping turn an ambitious idea into a lasting community outreach and educational resource for our profession.
If you have not yet made a gift, we hope you will consider joining us. Gifts of every size move us closer to completing the Carriage Barn and expanding the opportunities available to MAA members at the Arboriculture Learning Hub.
The excitement we generated on September 16 confirmed that Millborn Farm is more than a beautiful property. It is a place where arborists can learn from one another, where the next generation can discover our profession, and where MAA can continue its longstanding commitment to public-facing initiatives and environmental stewardship.
