strictly adhere. A pleasant surprise has been the loyal customer
base that has become an integral part of The Grove family.

THE YEARS TO HELP EDUCATE

What Are Your Best-Selling Products?
Flower eighths and pre-rolls are by far our best-selling
products.
What Is The Surprise Product That Sells That You Did
Not Expect Would Sell?
We offer a variety of cannabis products, but I definitely did
not expect our pet and animal products to sell so well.
If You Could Go Back In Time, What Would You Do
Differently?
Looking back at the past year, I would have provided my stores
with more point-of-sale stations in order to handle the rising
amount of customers we saw once recreational sales started.
It also would have been great to start with larger dispensary
locations, as it can be more difficult to re-build than to start at a
large scale from the beginning.
If You Had To Give Advice To A New Dispensary Operator,
What Would You Tell Them?
At The Grove, training is crucial. Training on specific product
information is very important in order for employees to educate
consumers appropriately. It also will be the ultimate key to
changing the “stigma” that looms over cannabis in general. The
second piece of advice would be to stay on top of the ever-
changing regulations and compliance.
IN 2016, The Grove was voted as the #1 dispensary by Leafly.
In 2017, they again hit the top 10. Based out of Las Vegas, The
Grove does things a little bit differently. Right from the beginning,
their mission has been to provide their clientele with the highest
quality products possible and to source those products from
environmentally sensitive sources. They also strive to ensure those
products are all-natural.
From that, they invested in a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly,
indoor grow and production facility designed to reduce their
environmental footprint by including technology like automatic
water systems and LED lighting. All in all, this is the largest
implementation of this type of technology in the United States.
Through the utilization of this facility, The Grove grows custom
products and curates strains that are most in demand from the
clients that they serve.
Beyond the high-quality products and state-of-the-art
cultivation and production facility, the company culture is another
aspect of The Grove that makes it stand out. They pride themselves
in providing the best education and training possible to their
employees. That is not only because they want their employees
to be knowledgeable about the products that they sell but also
because they want to provide customers with that knowledge.
The best way to do that is at the ground level through day-to-day
interactions.
Here is a brief Q&A session with Demetri Kouretas, CEO of The
Grove:
How Valuable Do You Believe Interacting With The
Community Is For Your Brand And Business?
Community interaction has been and continues to be
important. Education is a huge focus at The Grove, and we
have held a number of events over the years to help educate
consumers on cannabis, the rules, and the regulations
surrounding it. Additionally, we have had events to discuss a
variety of topics related to marijuana and how it may affect the
community.
Where Do You See Your Business Going Over The Next
Five Years?
The goal is to expand The Grove within Nevada and become
the experts of cannabis throughout the state. As I mentioned,
education is very important for us and we want to continue
sharing that with the community. Of course, it would also be
great to expand into other states.
By placing a huge effort on education and regulation, The
Grove stands out. The work that they do in educating the
public helps not only their own company but also the industry
as a whole. For that, they should be commended. For more

What Has Been Your Biggest Surprise In Running A
Dispensary?
In any business, there are rules and regulations to follow, but I was
surprised at the amount of regulations marijuana businesses need
to be in compliance with in order to run these stores. Each license
that we hold has its own set of regulations to which we have to
