Adjusting Top Speed & Classification

Your electric bike is capable of reaching speeds of 28 m.p.h. and above, which means it is classified as a Class IV electric bicycle. Depending on your local rules and regulations you can adjust the top speed capabilities to make your bike a Class I, Class II or Class III electric bicycle. Riders should always abide by local rules and regulations. We recommend visiting the People For Bikes website (https://peopleforbikes.org/) to learn more about the rules and regulations in your state and always check with local authorities before riding if the regulations are unclear.

Please check default settings on your Bike to ensure they are correct and in compliance with local laws. To change default settings, see the following instructions:

Enter “Programming Mode” by pressing the power button twice quickly (within 1/3 second).

Once you engaged Programming Mode, you can cycle through options using the “UP” and “DOWN” buttons.

To save and exit from Programming Mode, press the power button twice quickly.

You are able to change the default settings for the following categories:

Wheel diameter,

Maximum speed,

Backlight brightness for screen,

Display Unit (Metric / British)
