M PIRE COVERS:
First Friday Carnival
M Pire magazine covers First Friday Carnival on Friday, February 6, 2015, in Philadelphia, PA. After finding parking, I was greeted by a large building, which I knew was
the Barnes Foundation building. As I walked
in, I could already feel the floor vibrating
from the raging drums coming from inside
the main room. There had to be at least a
few hundred people in attendance. There
were a variety of dancers, instrumentalists,
martial artists, and attire of Brazilian background and culture. The performers gave
a demanding energy that had everyone’s
attention, and had audience members
dancing and clapping their hands. Check
