Q: Talk about some of your recently released singles and what those songs mean to you.
A: Ok, let’s start with “Headphones In World Out”. I think many in my generation feel this
way. Things get tough, aggravating, discouraging, or just annoying, we put our headphones in and zone out. I mean it’s not a fix, ‘cause the problems will still be there when
you take your headphones out. Haha, but it gives you a little break to get your second
wind to go back out and battle Life.
“Best I Never Had” is close to my heart. I think a lot of people feel this way. There’s always
that one person just out of your reach, or maybe they don’t notice you, or just don’t see
you that way. It’s heart wrenching.
Q: How has growing up in Morristown, TN impacted you and your career, as far as your
experiences and lessons learned growing up there?
A: Morristown, TN is just awful. HaHa, I mean for people that are driven, it’s just a dead
place. It’s really a place to raise a family, or for homebodies, or the retired. It’s not for
young, aspiring entertainers. There’s no growth here, and no plans to make room for
growth. It is as it is, and apparently going to remain that way. LOL. My older family is here,
which means I can leave but not forever as I’d like.
Q: What promotion tactic would you say has had the most impact on building your fan
base?
A: Probably social network promo. It’s the most interactive. Twitter is ok, but there’s so
many fake accounts there, and I get spammed a million times a day. Facebook is the
most interactive, but still has it’s limits unless you promote your page/post.
Q: What are your plans for the future, as far as places where you plan to perform and
future projects?
A: I have an R&B album coming out in 2014, and hopefully a pop album this year as well.
I want to show my versatility, and that I can write circles around the current ‘top’ songwriters. :)
Q: What is your ultimate purpose you plan to fulfill with your music?
A: I hope to one day be in a place to influence the masses, in a good way. Bring important issues to the forefront, and to be able to build shelters, clothing, healthcare, food ,
and clean water to people who need it! We can produce more than enough food for
Earth’s 7 billion people. No need at all for anyone to be hungry. I’m not sure why no one
is taking major actions to fix this, but
