Spawned from two super musically gifted parents , Jean Grae ' s powers manifested at an early age . Her own gifts were prematurely triggered when her desire to travel through space and time often found her lost in her own imagination and a secret world born of her creativity . Jean instinctively linked her mind to the sounds of the universe and realized her responsibility to provide words in rapid succession ( with a lot of swear words in between .)
