Robert Nesta "Bob" Marley also known as Donald Marley (Tuff Gong) born on February 6, 1945 from the community Nine Miles in the parish of St Ann, Jamaica W.I. and transitioned on May 11, 1981 in Miami, Florida, United States at the age of 36 due to Metastatic Melanoma (a form of cancer).
Later migrated to Trench Town, Kingston. One of Jamaica's most impoverished inner cities. He struggled as a result of poverty. Being a Singer, Songwriter, Musician and Guitarist all in one, Bob found inspiration in his creation of music that resulted from the pain and the suffering emanating within Trench Town environs. Trench Town known as "The Motown" of reggae. The very place where many youths were left to perish was becoming his land of opportunity.
