TECH TIP
Affordable and Easy to Use
Calibrate centrifuges with the LW Scientific
digital laser tachometer. CLIA requires that
clinics and labs calibrate their centrifuge for
speed every 6 months . . .AND . . . you can
help them do it themselves!
The LWS Laser Tachometer is affordable
and easy to use.
• Place a small piece of reflective tape onto
the rotor.
• Close the lid and turn the centrifuge on.
• Aim the laser through the view window in
the centrifuge lid directly at the tape.
Affordable, Portable
Epi-Fluorescence
The LWS Lumin module makes epi-fluorescence
available anywhere in the world. No dark room or
electricity are required! Safe, long-life LED technology
eliminates dangerous emissions and the need to
replace expensive, short-lived HBO bulbs. Pair the
Lumin module with our portable i4 and any of our
battery options to have affordable FITC or DAPI
epi-fluorescence on the go.
The laser beam will reflect from the tape and
the tachometer will then count the
reflections coming back toward the unit,
showing the rpm of the rotor in the display
window. The memory button will help you to
recall the last reading.
