Beltran Beats AO in Two

Top Rank Promotions also took advantage of the big fight weekend between Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Manny Pacquiao.

Top Rank hosted an event the day prior on May 1, 2015 at the Cosmopolitan on the South end of the strip in Las Vegas.

From the start Beltran wasted no time showing he was the stronger man. From the jump Beltran was decking Ao with solid hooks. One of the hooks would land and have Ao hurt and on the mat in just the second round.

Raymundo Beltran went in for the kill after the vicious right hook delivered. Takahiro Ao was on the run trying to avoid punishment. Beltran soon caught him and ripping into him forcing referee Tony Weeks to halt the contest.

Beltran was the winner by way of 2nd round TKO. Beltran will not win the title due to coming in overweight. Terrance Crawford's WBO lightweight title is still vacant and up for grabs.
