The capital saw the largest percentage drop in transaction volume for both property types . Luxury houses had the most significant drop as it was cut by more than half to end 2023 with only 23 luxury house transactions . Luxury units were cut by a third from its peak in 2022 of 42 transactions to just 27 transactions in 2023 . Still , absolute sales volumes were higher than when it was in 2021 .
