Une aventure éditoriale, certes, mais surtout une aventure humaine qui, au fil des semaines, s’est révélée excitante et d’une rare richesse. En effet, toutes les personnes rencontrées, qu’elles soient mauriciennes ou étrangères, investisseurs ou entrepreneurs, ont un point commun qui se résume à deux mots : amour et passion. Amour pour le pays, passion pour leur métier. C’est ce que nous avons essayé de transmettre tout au long de ces pages, des histoires d’hommes et de femmes qui ont investi, créé et innové pour faire d’une île perdue dans l’océan Indien ce qu’elle est aujourd’hui : un pays où le luxe s’exprime non pas de manière ostentatoire, mais par un art de vivre au quotidien, un art de vivre mauricien. Et si c’était ça le vrai luxe ? When we first decided on launching Luxury Mauritius, we had no idea of the kind of adventure we were embarking on. An editorial adventure, of course, but above all a journey of human interactions. And as the weeks went by, it turned out to be an exciting and an amazingly rich experience. All the people we met, whether Mauritians or foreigners, investors or entrepreneurs, had something in common: Love for the country and Passion for their work. This is what we have tried to convey through out these pages ― the stories of men and women who have invested, created and innovated to make this island, isolated in the Indian Ocean, what it is today: a country where luxury is not expressed flamboyantly but is rather an art of daily living, a Mauritianlifestyle.
