LUXURY INDIAN OCEAN IMMOBILIER
A region steeped in history and culture
Did you know that both the Dutch and the French landed in Southeast Mauritius when they colonised the island ? The area retains countless traces of its past , from fortifications at the île de La Passe to a row of cannon at Pointe du Diable , where the legendary Battle of Grand Port took place . A collection of objects recovered from ships wrecked during the engagement are exhibited at the Mahébourg Naval Museum nearby .
Beau Vallon is also the site of the Beau Vallon Company ’ s first sugar factory , which was originally built in 1818 . Several of its historic buildings are still standing . In 1890 , the de Rochecouste family , which owned the Beau Vallon concession at the time , purchased the de Bissy family ' s stately home in Plaisance and had it rebuilt at Riche-en-Eau . Now known as the Château de Riche-en-Eau , it is a national heritage site .
Set in the heart of nature
… and fringed by an inviting azure lagoon . While kite surfers pursue their passion in Pointe d ' Esny , with its generous easterly winds , the Blue Bay marine park and Ile aux Aigrettes nature reserve – both home to a large number of endemic plant and animal species – highlight the importance of preserving the island ’ s natural treasures . For this reason , CBVL is committed to restoring , consolidating and protecting Pointe d ’ Esny ’ s wetlands as part of its Pointe d ' Esny Le Village project .
Several exceptional projects
Thanks to its long-term , strategic thinking , CBVL has developed several largescale , sustainable and environmentally responsible real estate projects . It aims to reinvigorate the Southeast while showing off its natural assets and making the case for preserving them .
• Les Berges de Beau Vallon
Because they are located in Mahébourg ’ s immediate vicinity , the Berges de Beau Vallon are part of the city ’ s National Regeneration Programme . Historically significant buildings will therefore be restored as part of the project . This new mixed-use eco-district will offer a mix of shops , high-quality public areas and spaces dedicated to cultural and leisure activities , all while promoting sustainable types of mobility .
• Pointe d ' Esny Le Village
Developed as a Property Development Scheme ( PDS ) and set around almost 30 acres of greenery , Pointe d ' Esny le Village includes both plots of land reserved for Mauritians and residential units that can be purchased by both Mauritians and foreigners . It has been designed as a real village with independent shops , a school and a sports centre . A new lifestyle awaits , a stone ’ s throw away from one of the island ’ s largest and most beautiful lagoons !
