The East Coast Chapter of the
International Luxury Hotel Association celebrated their first in-person event to welcome and encourage conversations among new and existing members , in and around Washington , DC . Hosted at
The Dubliner at the
Phoenix Park Hotel , chapter members and guests were joined by some of hospitality ’ s most notable professionals who continue to help forge the industry forward .
The event was hosted by Chapter Head Ofra Gelman , Principal , Dwell Design Studio , and Barak Hirschowitz , President , International Luxury Hotel Association and sponsored by the Fairfax-based Playa Hotels & Resorts .
“ The East Coast Chapter , formed at the beginning of the pandemic , has achieved so much over the past year – from establishing committees including research and diversity and inclusion , to a formalized mentorship program , to creating a webinar series on trending topics to help hospitality professionals succeed during challenging times – they have become an invaluable resource to us as we start to plan the INSPIRE 2021 conference at the end of this year ,” said Barak Hirshowitz . “ This event was particularly significant as it was our first chance to meet in person after many online meetings and we look forward to future events as travel opens up .”
