What lesson will you take away from the last 12 months ?
I continue to be profoundly moved by our teams . Their great dedication , kindness , resilience , and innovation in the face of so many unknowns have been incredible . Even though they were going through challenges of their own , they continued to give back to their communities , their fellow employees , and the industry . It was humbling . As I mentioned previously , people are at the heart of everything we do , and throughout the crisis , it was reinforced time and time again that people were , and continue to be our strongest assets . It reminds you how wonderful this industry is .
Over the years , I have learned that when faced with adversity , it is important to approach the situation with an open mind and determination , but you cannot do it alone , and never has this resonated with me more than it does now . Throughout the pandemic , the changing landscape would throw curve balls daily , sometimes by the hour , and as challenging as it was , I never once felt alone but rather propelled forward by a stronger sense of unity and responsibility , and I am grateful for that . Accor is poised to win , building back stronger and better than ever . We know this has been an incredibly tough year for our teams , but the challenges have also brought out the best in us . The creativity , teamwork , and spirit of entrepreneurship are inspiring .
