(ANDAZ) RED Suite
Opening at Andaz West
Hollywood
Andaz and RED, the AIDS organization
founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver,
have collaborated in an exciting design
first with Jonathan Adler to create an
(ANDAZ)RED Suite at the Andaz West
Hollywood. Just one of the many new
experiences available from the recently
introduced World of Hyatt platform.
“We’ve been looking for an opportunity
to work with (RED) for some time as
it’s an organization that aligns with our
purpose of care. Given the history of
Andaz West Hollywood, starting our
collaboration here made a lot of sense,”
said Maryam Banikarim, global chief
marketing officer for Hyatt. “Back in
the day, this hotel was nicknamed the
Riot House because rockers stayed and
partied here. The property’s rock legacy
and the fact that the Andaz brand is
all about creativity and
local inspiration made it a
perfect fit for (RED).”
“I’ve worked with (RED)
for years – what they do
is incredible. And hotels
are my favorite spaces to
design, so when I got the
chance to combine the
two, my chakras began
to tingle,” said Jonathan
Adler. “And working with
the Andaz team has been
a dream. They understand that design
doesn’t have to just look good, it can
also do good.”
30 percent of the room rate will be
donated towards (RED)’s fight against
aids.

Michelin Star for Les Explorateurs restaurant, Hotel
Pashmina Le Refuge
Congratulations to Les Explorateurs, the stylish restaurant at Hotel
Pashmina Le Refuge, Val Thorens, France, on being awarded their first
Michelin star. Consultant Chef Romuald Fassenet and Executive Chef
Josselin Jeanblanc have crafted a blend of modernity with hints of
ancient mountain explorers in their refined menu and attention to detail
and are thrilled with this achievement in their first year. The result is a
new take on classic French gastronomy, as well as regional dishes and
products, with over 500 wines to choose from. For the adventurous,
Hotel Pashmina Le Refuge also features “Le Base Camp”, a bistronomic
table with authentic recipes a short distance away in the mountains.
