operators to offer aerial tours of their surroundings.
The Sanchaya on Indonesia’s Bintan Island overlooks the pristine
and secluded beachfront at Lagoi Bay, and guests interested
in a new perspective can take an exhilarating 20-minute
microlight ride in an open cockpit seaplane and marvel at the
bay’s aquamarine waters and picturesque islands, and the island’s

Vietnam, during a 12-minute helicopter tour, setting the stage for
the stunning property, and also exposing passengers to some of

Aloft Hotels have dialed into a new trend to
communicate with their guests, and it’s fun,
friendly, and almost graphic. The Aloft TiGi (Text
it. Get it.) Emoji Room Service menu launched
recently at the Aloft Manhattan Downton –
Financial District, New York City, and to order,
guests can select from six speciality kits, each
with essential items that are easy to express via
emoji. The hotel has a dedicated TiGi number,
and once an order is received, will confirm the
request by text and deliver the items.

Ritz-Carlton are sharing their digital world,
keeping it real and creating an experience
that is both authentic and transparent. Their
Ritz-Carlton Memories website displays guest
photos as they are being posted and hashtagged on social media around the world.
Snapshots are then localized to each hotel so
that viewers looking at a particular destination
will be able to see guest photos from that
place. Visitors are encouraged to hashtag their
posts with #RCMemories or #RitzCarlton and
could well see their content on the website
or reposted on one of Ritz Carlton’s 12 social
