you’re on one of our ships, you never
have to worry about getting a cab
home late at night or looking for a
place to eat. Even our smallest ships
offer a variety of entertainment and
restaurants onboard.
WHAT TECHNOLOGY HAVE YOU
INCORPORATED?
All of our brands offer online booking
and personalization of your cruise in
advance and onboard wi-fi has become
standard so you can almost always be
connected to home or work, anywhere
in the world. That is, if you want to be.
We continue to leverage technology
to enhance the onboard guest
experience using facial recognition
for our photo programs and we have
apps that keep you connected to
your loved ones onboard in your own
chat rooms and help you make your
dining and spa reservations, book your
shore excursions, and access up to
the minute entertainment and other
shipboard activities. They’ll even
act as your own personal GPS if you
need help getting around the ship!
They haven’t completely replaced
the printed newsletters and maps we
distribute to each room but we’re
getting close!
Our new technology also helps us
anticipate the needs of our guests,
giving them what they want before
they even knew they wanted it by
learning their preferences while
onboard. Our Ocean Medallion
program on some of our Princess
ships is doing that now. We want
our technology to make that human
interaction more seamless, higher
touch, even more personal.

We’ve produced a number of travel
programs for regular broadcast TV
and last year we launched OceanView,
which is an over the top (OTT)
digital streaming channel featuring a
collection of these shows plus other
direct to digital programs that can be
viewed on ROKU, Amazon Fire or
Apple TV, our OceanView App or even
onboard our ships in each stateroom.
We’ve won numerous Telly awards for
these programs. Our cruise lines are
also featured in BattleChefs and The
Cruise which are popular on television
in the UK.
Unlike trends in other types of travel,
having a great travel agent, especially
one that specializes in cruising, can
really make all the difference. Booking
a cruise can be a very complicated
transaction, especially for a first-time
