"Downsizing" seems to be the popular theme of our current consciousness. As we have been consumed by urban sprawl, bigger homes and vehicles, a constant barrage of advertising tempting us to buy more, and a ever spiraling economy, the wisest among us have committed themselves to learning how to do more with less.

Ever increasing baggage limitations and accompanying fees, have made it practically impossible to travel anywhere by plane for more than a few days and be appropriately dressed!

It has been said that "design" is problem solving, and so as a woman who likes to have options and a designer who loves a challenge, I have tackled this downsizing delima that now informs the way I design garments...

It just seems to be a no-brainer to me... that less space mandates that "Convertible Clothing" is the way to go. I need to be able to pack 1 outfit that give me multiple options so that I can travel with half as many clothes as I normally pack but STILL have just as many options and changes. I need to be able to go from casual to formal in one trip and all from one carry-on bag!

The garment featured in this editorial consists of a 2pc evening gown made of a paisley print power mesh, that not only holds its shape and gives support in the places you need it, but also has plenty of stretch to allow it to be worn in 4 entirely different looks.

Have you assessed your closet lately? Are you considering embracing the "less stuff, more life" ideal? A great place to begin is in your closet!
