Saying. Melanie Fiona can sing is like saying "Venus and Serena Williams play a pretty good game of tennis..."

This Toronto Canada beauty was born July 4 1983 to Guyanese parents who migrated from their country and settled in Canada.

Surrounded by musical influences, from her dad's playing in a Calypso/Reggae band to her mom's love affair with music , it's no surprise she was gifted with a voice that made JayZ sign her under his JayRoc management label at their first meeting.

Melanie "Hall" as her parnets know her, came out hitting home runs....

Her first album, "The Bridge" produced the Grammy nominated ballad, "It Kills Me"

which sold well over 200,000 units.

Her sophomore efforts were also successful, generating two more chart toppers "4 am and " Gone And Never Coming Back"

...And let's not forget the grammy award winning single, "fool for you," which was a collaberation with singer/ rapper CE-LO Green.

What do you do when so much success has come so fast...?

If ypu're Melanie Fiona, you go back in the "lab" and create something even hotter...

And if the new single, "Wrong Side Of Love" is any indication of what's on the CD...

She's done just that.
