Luxe-Factor:Tell us about your most recent project / book.

Maxamillion:The title of my debut novel is called HOOD RICH “IN GOD WE TRUST”. It’s basically a story of my life personified in the role of Uniqua Williams, the lead character. The story is about a young woman who desperately wants to experience a better life for herself outside of the hood. Finally she gets her chance when her dream of winning the lottery comes true. But, her dream becomes her worse nightmare when her best friend frames her for murder in order to steal her winning lottery ticket. Imprisoned for a crime she didn’t commit, Uniqua ultimately learns “What does a woman truly profit if she gains the world at the expense of everyone that she loves?” In God we should trust because you never know how far someone might go to become hood-rich.

L.F.:What do you believe makes you stand out as an author? What makes your project stand out?

Maxamillion:What distinguishes me as an author is my diversity and range. I’m a prolific writer and I possess the talent to write in multiple genres. I produce original storylines, based on Black experience, that deal with unpopular or controversial issues that have not been explored by most street-lit authors.
