LUXE DU JOUR ’ S mission is to continue being a leader in designer resale where innovation meets luxury . “ We are not focused on competing with our competitors but competing with ourselves ,” says CEO Tammy Phan . “ How do we become better than last year ? Something clients can look forward to is Luxe Du Jour ’ s new app that took over one year to develop . The idea behind the app was to find a way to make it even more convenient for clients to shop , sell , rent , or restore and to bridge a gap between potential buyers and sellers with the explore page . This was an idea that took months for the team to perfect as they took the explore page concept from Instagram and the addictiveness of actioning and swiping left or right from Tinder .
The app is a one-place destination for any clients who love designer luxury . The goal was to make the app fun and interactive , hence the points bar , which can unlock amazing perks and benefits . Occasionally , Luxe Du Jour hosts game shows and trivia questions like bag riddles for their clients who love designer bags , and this aspect of the app is what sets us apart from the competition . They want to build a community of bag enthusiasts .

A huge part of Luxe Du Jour ’ s business was making designer luxury affordable and accessible to everyone with their 0 % interest layaway plans . They integrated the checkout feature of layaway on the app and extended the layaway option up to 12 months with a small fee . This move to charge only a small fraction of the typical financing fees was , so clients would not need to worry about a credit check or being approved for a longer term financing plan .
