WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DISH AND WHY? Whenever I’m in Ghana, no matter whats going on or how busy my morning is, I need to have bofrot (lol). I would say that its my personal favorite thing to eat while in Ghana but overall, its hard to say no to a plate of fried yam with tilapia and shitto, especially if its my mom making it! WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN BUSINESS IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS? The goal has always been to own my own restaurant. I don’t know exactly where I would want it, but I definitely know the feel and food that I want to serve. Owning my own successful restaurant has been my number one goal since I was about 15 so when it does happen, that would have to be one of the greatest achievements I can personally think of. I think it’ll be exciting to move into that phase of my career sharing those moments as a married man as well. DESCRIBE YOUR DREAM WEDDING. My dream wedding?! (lol) I don’t even know what I’m doing tomorrow, let alone a wedding! (lol). In all seriousness though, I just want my closest family and friends there. I think an outdoor evening wedding would be cool. I can imagine my wife wanting to have her say on the decor and logistics of the night with very little input from me, but one thing I have to be in charge of is the food for the reception. I’ve had a very similar question asked to me a few times before and semi-jokingly I’ve always responded that I would spend more time in the kitchen expediting food for the reception more than I’ll be in the actual reception with my wife. She would probably kill me for that but I think it would be really cool if our guest had small restaurant experience during that night. WHAT WILL BE THE PERFECT VALENTINE’S DAY MENU? (lol) That’s a great question. I think it would really depend on the woman spending that evening with me. I would have to do some recon work prior to the 14th to know what some of her favorites are and things that she doesn’t like so much, those are the details that I think really make a meal and in particular that night really special. Off the bat though, I know it would have to consist of multiple courses, maybe 4 or 5. Small bites leading into more complex dishes then of course something sweet to cap the night off. I have cooked on Valentine’s Day before doing exactly what I mentioned, Needless to say it went really well because she’s my girlfriend now :) (Chef Adjepong has recently proposed to his girlfriend, congrats and all the very best from Luxe Culture)
