SEPTEMBER at the Australia Hair Fashion Awards, and in 2012 when she was awarded Australian Makeup Artist of the Year at the Australian Beauty Industry Awards. Her passion has extended to work on well known clients such as Cyndi Lauper, The Pussycat Dolls, and Ex-Prime Minister Julia Gillard. She has also worked with such brands as WISH and Witchery to express her passion through their brand. She has also strived to educate others about her trade, and share her love for makeup and makeup artistry, where she featured as a keynote speaker at the 2012 Make Up Artist Trade Show, and later in that year featured on the cover of the US based Makeup Artist Magazine. Her exposure in the industry has truly been due to her persistence, humility and enthusiasm toward her love for makeup and making people look and feel more beautiful. A collaboration that Rachel wants to share, is with the French skin care brand, Uriage. She has revealed how she creates her award winning looks with use of the Uriage Eau Thermale, a thermal water within many of Uriage’s skin care products. Her favourite product in the range is the Uriage Eau Thermale which she uses on her clients before applying to foundation to hydrate & give the skin a glow. She also uses the Uriage Eau Thermale after applying the makeup to set as the spray leaves no residue & leaves no dew behind. To create alluring eyes on her clients, Rachel uses the Uriage AquaPRECIS Moisturising Eye Contour Care which helps to remove bags from under the eyes and brightens for a fresh look. Puffiness is visibly reduced, while the eyes are significantly hydrated and left feeling awake. Not only does the cream take away the effects of tired eyes, but it too protects against environmental stress. It contains 10 percent Uriage Thermal Water and is oil, fragrance and paraben free. Rachel also uses this on herself to create bright eyes on a daily basis, and to keep her face looking fresh and lively throughout her busy days. To stop her clients from getting dry lips, Rachel uses the Uriage Bariederm Barrier Lip Balm which also creates the perfect base for a dramatic lip. Not only does the lip balm restore and soothe damaged, dry and chapped lips, but also stops the feathering of lip-gloss into the fine lines around the mouth it’s also waterproof and long lasting. When used underneath lip colour it ensures it stays throughout the day and looks as vibrant and opaque as the moment it’s put on.
