FENCING & GATES:
Site fencing should be added to fill-in the gaps between the open edges of the campus, and balanced with different access gate locations that can be accessed and used by the community for after-hours activities. The gates would be lockable for securing the school site during the school hours, requiring a visitor to be directed to the Administration Office.
ADMINISTRATION OFFICE:
The existing Administration Office is undersized. The existing spaces need to be reconfigured, and added space can be created by vacating the also undersized MPR space. This would require a new MPR building. The new MPR building would free up space for the Administration remodel.
DROP-OFF LANES:
The main visitor Parking Lot # 1 should be reconfigured to support a clear and defined drop-off zone, and make it easier for the traffic to move on one direction. Off-site drop-off lanes can be created on H Street and 8th Street. The off-site drop-off zones would reduce pressure on the parking lots.
PARKING:
An additional parking lot needs to be created, allowing for additional parking capacity.
GATHERING SPACES:
Gathering spaces should be created outside of the MPR and Administration buildings.
SHADE:
Fabric and Metal Shade Structures should be added in various locations. Fabric Structures over the play equipment, and Metal Structures at gathering areas.
PORTABLE REPLACEMENT:
The portable building should be replaced with new more permanent buildings, Modular or Permanent Construction.
CONCRETE WALKS:
The existing concrete walks are centered over the building overhangs. The roofs do not have rain gutters. Move the walks so they are covered by the overhangs and add rain gutters and downspouts to the eaves of the roofs.
