Editor
It has been quite a joyful start to the year , as SJI celebrates the excellent results of its inaugural batch of International Baccalaurate Diploma students from the SJI Senior School , as well as the ' O ' level results from the secondary school boys . The school also rejoices with its sportsmen , especially the B Division footballers , who brought home the first trophy from the South Zone championships , a first in three decades .
As Singapore looks forward to celebrating her golden jubilee this year , SJI also reunited with some of its pioneer educators and non-teaching staff , who have dedicated much of their lives building up the school and educating generations of Josephians over the last 50 years .
In this issue , we also look at the lives of nine Josephians – past and present , and the first Prime Minister of Singapore Mr Lee Kuan Yew , who have contributed to society in their own way . We hope you will be inspired by their stories .
