This issue of Lumen focuses on the unconventional . Two historical moments were created in 2013 . The offering of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in SJI is one that led to the other significant milestone . For the first time in 160 years , female SJI students became part of our community .

Aligned with the Lasallian value of community and in the hope of developing our students into global citizens , a new programme –
World and Me – for the secondary school was launched .
The Josephians who have been featured share a commonality of having chosen nontraditional paths either in their choice of career or decisions that impact their perspective of life . Some have overcome significant obstacles to achieve what they have today .
Lumen is in the state of evolving and we welcome any suggestions on what you wish to see and read in the next issue .
