2013 marks a year of many firsts for SJI – the first intake of students into the Integrated Programme at Secondary One ; the first intake of boys and girls into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in the SJI Senior School ; as well as the first run of SJI ’ s own World and Me Special Programme . World and Me is a multi-disciplinary programme that prepares students to confront issues of global significance through a deepening reflection on their role as world citizens . Students will study global issues through the lenses of the different academic disciplines , and in the process hone their critical thinking faculties to arrive at a richer and deeper understanding of the combined complexities . Students will also be challenged to effectively respond to the issues through the design and delivery of innovative and meaningful action that will sharpen their powers of creative and caring thinking . World and Me thus provides unity to the learner ’ s experience – combining critical , creative and caring thinking – to produce engaged global citizens capable of collaborating effectively to address emerging global issues .
