A PALETTE OF PASSIONS AND PERSPECTIVES
Over the years, Mr & Mrs Liyu have spoken highly of their son’ s artistic talent when I have met with them. They have always recognised his dedication to pursuing art and found ways to better support his well-being to ensure he gets the rest he needs to do well in all his endeavours.
“ Honestly, I’ m still figuring things out for university,” Jiong Yang admitted.“ Design, architecture, even economics have caught my interest.” It’ s a testament to his multifaceted nature, this blend of artistic passion and intellectual curiosity.
One thing was clear as we wrapped up: Jiong Yang’ s time at SJI has been deeply impactful.“ It’ s going by so fast,” he mused, a touch of wistfulness in his voice.“ I know I’ ll be moving on to a new season soon. I’ ll really miss SJI— the people, the places, our conversations, the little moments, the heart of community”. Yet, there’ s a sense of gratitude and contentment in his words. He has no regrets about choosing SJI, and as I listened to him share his experiences and insights, it was easy to see why.
Liyu Jiong Yang is more than just a talented artist; he’ s a Josephian who embodies resilience, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the community that has shaped his creative canvas. As he steps into his next chapter, I have no doubt he’ ll continue to paint a vibrant and inspiring path.
