( CAS). It is our community. Chloe from LE607 shares how she has found confidantes“ who support and uplift me every day, both on and off the field.” She speaks for all of us when she says,“ It is always fulfilling when you spend time with friends who share the same passion. What is most special is that I know the friendships I have made here will last me beyond my SJI journey!”

We must acknowledge that we could not come this far by ourselves. Our growth as a team has also been shaped by the support systems around us. Whether it is our coach, teachers, family, or friends, having people who believe in us makes a real difference. Talking to the most experienced player on the team, Caitlin Goh from MN619, she says that her father has been her biggest source of support and inspiration throughout her football career. As a professional footballer in the past, his invaluable advice has allowed her to continue improving her craft. Moreover, his enthusiasm to watch our games and pick her up from training gives her the extra push to keep working hard.

Although we may not be the strongest team out there, we have been able to stand our ground. Through triumphs in friendly matches and putting up good fights in the annual ACStro Cup against the likes of ACS Independent, MGS, and Raffles, we have demonstrated the SJI fighting spirit which we can be proud of and shown how far our efforts, determination, and team spirit have taken us.
Creating a chance for goal
As we gear up with anticipation and excitement for our NSG season, we hope to put our best foot forward, to showcase all the blood, sweat, and tears we have put into this team. Just as our coach believes we have what it takes to go far in the competition, we want to prove to ourselves that we can certainly rise to the challenge and leave it all out on the pitch.
