“ I was attached to the OCBC Bank for my work experience programme . Mainly , we were in groups with a project to deliver by the end of our attachment . It was a unique experience , working with peers from other schools , seeking advice from our supervisors and the experts , and extending our experience of the design thinking process and presentation into the actual corporate world .
From this attachment , I really learnt a lot about the corporate world . Apart from the daily tasks in the office , we had the opportunity to meet various people from the different departments of the bank , through the clinics on marketing , personal branding , event management , project management and so on . It was an eye-opening experience for me to learn and discuss these transferable skills that are not really taught in school .

Networking with them was another big thing as well . I really found myself getting more and more comfortable conversing with people , in the pantry or lunch , learning about their individual background , career and role in the bank , which was really interesting to me .
Furthermore , I had the opportunity to tour the OCBC Wisma Atria branch , which is OCBC ‘ s flagship lifestyle branch . Through the sharing sessions and conversations with the person in charge , I was stunned to discover how banking is integrated into our lifestyles , all the details and techniques behind the branch operations , and the future vision of banking presented by OCBC .
In a nutshell , I am really grateful for the learning experience I had at OCBC ; it was an unforgettable experience that I couldn ‘ t have had elsewhere .”
