Values in Action
Nuturing men and women for others

We are no strangers to the three core values anchoring our identity as Josephians - faith , our foundation ; service , our way ; and community , our support . In the context of the school ’ s Values in Action ( VIA ) programme , faith , service and community continue to inform initiatives spearheaded by Josephians .
In the pre-Covid-19 pandemic era , the human touch and face-to-face interactions were the hallmark of our community service . In spite of the constraints posed by the pandemic , Year 1 to 4 Josephians were unwavering in their efforts to support the less privileged - the elderly , those with special needs , and those whose circumstances do not allow them to enjoy the same benefits as their more affluent brothers or sisters .
Sharing one ’ s blessings and paying it forward are qualities of the Josephian community that SJI strives to build . In the spirit of service to the elderly at Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital , SJI ' s Catholic CCA group - the Society of St Vincent De Paul ( SSVP ) continued to appeal to the school community to donate part of their monetary collections from Lunar New Year celebrations to the Hospital . The absence of face to face interactions for activities such as clay modelling or painting , also meant that SSVP had to pivot to online recordings and virtual Kahoot quizzes to provide cheer .
Other groups initiated partnerships with non-profit organisations to organise school-wide
