And so , the COVID-19 pandemic continues to linger on , much to the dismay of many after a year of upheavals in 2020 . So much has been said and experienced by many over the past 18 months - be it the loss of lives , livelihoods , or the lack of a social life with families and friends . Even as mass inoculations are being carried out in countries , medical and scientific professionals are struggling to battle with a fast-mutating virus that continues to cause rampage in different parts of the world . It remains to be seen when life can return to normalcy any time soon .
Yet time and tide wait for no man , or for a pandemic to pass . Regardless of the numerous safe management measures and social distancing limitations that were being imposed in school and beyond , Josephians continued to shoulder on with their responsibilities of work and play , to shine in the different domains that mattered to them most .
In this issue , Josephians share their journeys and testimonies of their pursuit in the sports or arts , and stories of their lives where they have been apart from their families who are living abroad because of the pandemic . We hope you are inspired by their spirit of perseverance , hope and faith that things will get better in time . Ora et Labora !
From 8 December 2020 to 8 December 2021 , Lasallians throughout the world celebrate the Lasallian Year of Saint Joseph , Patron of the Christian Brothers and their various ministries . De La Salle urged the Brothers to have a special devotion to Saint Joseph and hold him as their model of a just , humble man who had confidence and faith in God . St Joseph , pray for us !
