Showcasing ARTS in UNUSUAL Times

Music Concerts Went Online This year we saw our first Classical Treat streamed online . For over an hour , music students from Years 1 to 5 attended a prerecorded online performance put together by 11 musicians .
The inaugural “ SJI Got Talent Concert ” was played during the Teachers ’ Day celebration over Zoom . Nine amazing performances put up by students from across different levels were aired . At the end of the concert , staff and Josephians
cast their votes for the “ Most innovative ” and “ Most talented " Performances via a QR code for the groups that captivated them .
The Most Innovative Award went to Parkway which garnered 45.8 % of the teachers ' votes . The band - Graeme Foo ( FN403 ), Ryan Ng ( MN401 ), Joshua Ong ( LE401 ), Timothy Soh ( MN401 ), Issac Chua ( MN401 ) - performed ' Arctic Monkeys ' by Fluorescent Adolescent .
David ' s Band comprising David Wong ( MN518 ), Edmund Yap ( ML511 ), Nicholas Yee ( MN517 ), Nicholas Tan ( LE510 ), Naomi Ong ( FN501 ), Matthew Ng ( MN518 ), Brandon Cheah ( ML514 ) who performed " Wake me up " by Avicii won The Most Popular Award with 38.7 % of the students ' votes .
The Most Talented Award with 24.1 % of the teachers ' votes went to Brandon Cheah who showcased his original song ' Green and White '.
