2016 saw five SJI Pelandok scouts become the proud recipients of the Chief Commissioner Award . This award is the most prestigious accolade a scout can achieve in his four years of scouting in Singapore . The honour does not come easy . Candidates are required to go through an interview , organise an event , and participate in an arduous 25 km hike . This year , Zaki bin Zainudin ( Marcian 403 ), Ang Le Wayne ( Fintan 402 ), Justin Chin ( Lawrence 401 ), Gabriel Jerome Lim ( Marcian 401 ) and Mark Wee Yi Ren ( JC 103 ) have proven their mettle . They have all worked hard and persevered in their journey to achieve the award and they have gained insights from their experience .
