Together with students from the Philippines , United States of America , Japan , we participated in various discussions of global issues as well as the sharing of our cultures , and had the opportunity to work with the teams from Seifu Nankai High School to produce , and present posters and methods to create a sustainable future . Among the many discussions that we were involved in , there was a panel discussion held with some of the best English students of Seifu Nankai High School . Several contentious issues such as gender equality and whaling were debated on . We presented on energy conservation . The different perspectives offered by the cultures represented at this International Symposium gave much fuel to the fire of our discussions . At any one time , the discussions could continue for nearly three hours . These discourses offered us fresh perspectives that were invaluable .
