As Term 1 came to a close this March , students were eagerly preparing to unwind for a seemingly normal weeklong break . But unbeknownst to many , history was about to be made .

It began with a simple idea . Somewhere between conversations along corridors and casual exchanges over lunch , a group of JC 2 students began conceptualizing a plan , honorable in ambition yet seemingly impossible for the small group of five . It was Camp Inspire , an event with the simple endeavor to introduce the J1 juniors to the rich school history we inherit , while fostering stronger bonds among the batch . The camp was intended to expand upon the successful

orientation to further induct the new cohort into the school . In no time , the dates were set and camp facilitators comprising 30 JC 2 students were brought on board .
When 14 March finally arrived , a steady stream of 86 JC 1 students entered the senior school block , curiosity and excitement written on their faces . Following a brief introduction to the camp ’ s aims and guidelines , participants were split into their respective groups for the first facilitator contact time . Fortunately , the awkwardness of orientation had long dissipated and the groups moved into comfortable conversation with ease . Now more familiar with each other , the groups moved on to the first programme of the day - the escape room . Each group was locked in a classroom with specific clues , which would facilitate their escape . The groups gamely answered SJI trivia , crawled through furniture and solved clever riddles to emerge out of their respective rooms , thankfully unscathed . After lunch , Brother Kelvin and Mr Chong Chow Wee generously gave their time to share their insights on what it means to be Lasallian . The enlightening talks left the JC1s reinvigorated for the games session ,
